When Music Divine began in 2005, all the singers, professional and otherwise, performed for free,
so ticket sales covered all our expenses (venue rental, publicity, printing scores and programs, etc.)
Since this time around our singers are all paid professionals,
it now costs us much more money than previously to produce concerts.
In order to help manage our new personnel expenses, in 2024 we enlisted the fiscal sponsorship of GEMS
(Gotham Early Music Scene), a 501(c)3 organization,
which allows donations for Music Divine, made out directly to GEMS, to qualify as fully tax-deductible.
